Organisatorialcontext:
AkzoNobelFunctionalChemicals’sBUEthyleneamines(EA)areconstructingagrassrootplantinNingbo,China.Theplantswillbelocatedatthe50hectares,newlyAkzoNobelmulti-siteplacedontheNingboChemicalIndustrialZone.
TheEAplantconsistsofEthyleneoxide,EthanolamineandEthyleneamineprocesses.
AkzoNobelFunctionalChemicalsisaworldleaderintheproductionofethyleneaminesandethanolamines.Althoughthechemistryandprocessesrequiredforthemanufactureoftheseproductsarecomplicated,thereasonforoursuccesscanbeexpressedinsimpleterms:know-howandtheabilitytolistentoourcustomers.
Todaywehavetwoproductionssitesoftheseproducts,SwedenandGermany
Weservecustomersthroughouttheworldwithethyleneaminesandethanolamines,whicharekeybuildingblocksforthemanufactureofeverythingfromchelatingagents,fungicides,detergents,paints,adhesives,asphaltadditivesandcuttingfluidstocosmetics,tissuepaper,soaps,textileandfabricsofteners,andpharmaceuticals.
Productionissubjecttothemoststringentqualityandenvironmentalcontrols.Weare,ofcourse,certifiedinaccordancewithISO9001(QualityAssurance)andISO14001(EnvironmentalManagement).InSeptember2006wereceivedourEnergyManagementSystemCertificateforSweden
Jobpurpose:
Conductactivities,bothchemicalandtechnical,fortheproductionprocessesandsupporttootherdepartments.Takepartinthecommissioningandstart-upoftheplant.Guardperformanceoftheoperationsandtroubleshootandimprovingprocessesandinitiatenewprojectsandprocesses.

CSUPreparationofbothcommissioningandstart-up;

CompiledocumentationforCSU(manual,timeline,resources,andresponsibilities).
TrainshiftteamsforCSU.
SuperviseandassistProcessEngineers,ShiftteamsMultisiteduringCSUconcerningbothchemical,technicalandanalyticalissues.
Reportprogress,pitfalls,failures,lessonslearnedduringCSU.
OperationsBeingresponsibleforsafety,environmentandpersonnelinyourdepartment.
Responsibleforthepersonnelmanagementtooptimizeteamperformance.
ResponsibleforthedailyoperationofthePlantsandutilitiessystem
Establishingcostandpersonnelbudgets.
Ensuringthattheagreedbudgetiskept.
Beingresponsiblefordevelopmentandefficiencyintheproductionandprocessingofallproducts.
ResponsibleforfurtherdevelopmentofProduction,OperationsandQualitypersonnel.
EnsuringthattheQElabisrunefficientlyandoptimallyasregardsoperational,quality,andenvironmentalanalyses.
Activelyworkingtoseethattheoperationsfollowthecompany’sroutinesandinstructions.
Proposeimprovementprojectsforplantperformance;yields,energyconsumption,quality,waste,etc.
Defineandexecuteoptimizationstudies.
Safeguardstechnicalaspectsofprocess.
Executionofprocesscalculations.
LineresponsibleforQuality,Health,SafetyandEnvironmental(QHSE)
Compileenvironmentalperformance
Assistingduringstartupof(new)processparts.

Qualifications:
ThispositionshouldhaveeitherauniversityoracollegedegreeinChemicalEngineering,Shouldpreferablyhave10yearsofrelevantworkingexperienceinthechemicalindustryinleadingposition,withatleastafewyearsmanufacturingexperience.
Thispositionshouldpossessleadershipskills,basiccomputerskills,provenworkknowledgeregardingQHSEissues,projectmanagement,budgeting,productionorganizationandplanning.He/Sheshouldbeaself-starter,proactive,andresultoriented.Furthermorestrongworkethic,analyticalskills,goodorganizationalskills,KnowledgeregardingERP(SAP)systemsisanadvantage.
