PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Chemical Industry is one of SAP's most important industry segments with a very strong and loyal customer base. Chemical companies are global players, the industry is characterized by high competition, a pressure of being first to market, complex products, leadership in innovation and high investment into research and development. Chemical companies show a pioneering interest in new solutions and technologies that can be used to increase competitive advantage and profitability. SAP's customers are the leaders in their respective segments. The IBU Chemicals represents SAP worldwide in this very important market segment. It is the goal of the group to ensure SAP's success in the chemical market. This includes aspects like software revenue, customer satisfaction and solution completeness. Therefore, the team members have to understand industry trends and strategies in the different segments of the chemical ecosystem. They will help to design the solutions that will meet the needs of our customers by working closely with development, field, partners and customers.
We are looking for a team member with comprehensive knowledge of chemical business processes and their coverage through IT applications. Roll-out, support, and business development of SAP’s solution portfolio for the chemical industry, in particular of ERP and Best Practices for Chemicals, are major tasks of this position. The solution expert will closely collaborate with respective development organizations in order to ensure the roll-in of industry- and country-specific solution requirements.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Work experience in consulting or similar IT project know-how
- Comprehensive knowledge of SAP solutions, in particular of ERP
- Very good understanding of the chemical business processes
- A very good business or technical university degree
- Good team spirit and ability to work in a virtual and global team
- Good analytical skills and the ability to think in processes
- High customer orientation
- Good presentation skills
- Strong English language skills
- Willingness to travel

- Roll-in of industry-specific requirements into development
- Collaboration with implementation partners (SI) and evaluation of potential software partners
