Technical Planner


1.Function definition

Candidate for this position will be involved in the preparation of steel structure plans. The Technical Planner is responsible for the work preparation of the drawings of the Sub Contracted crane parts and commodities including the verification of the part lists. He will work according the general rules and regulations of IFS China Ltd.

The Technical Planner reports to the Project Manager Outsourcing of Kalmar B.V. and IFS China Ltd.

2.Responsibilities

The Technical Planner is responsible for checking and documentation of drawings and part lists according to ao:
Planning
Interpret Standards and Norms
Check drawings on irregularities and report accordingly
Fabricate and/or adjust part lists
Procedures and instructions

3.Tasks

The tasks of the CAD Technician are:

Control of CAD drawings and part lists
Instruct and advice employees of the sub contractor regarding drawings requirements from the crane part constructions
Check CAD drawings on irregularities and report accordingly
Reporting of irregularities in drawing/ part list system to Kalmar
Planning

4.Competence

Applicants must be knowledgeable and proficient in the basic operation of AutoCAD. The applicant is competent to take all measures which are necessary to carry out his work on the under point 2 and 3. In his function he will have to travel frequently between Shanghai and Jiangsu.

Furthermore his competence is strictly limited to the tasks above.


5.Communication

The Technical Planner reports about the results and informs Kalmar, IFS and/or Sub Contractor in time so that they are able to take the necessary steps to avoid extra costs.

Therefore it is required to:

Write and speak the English language;
Familiar with general international fabrication procedures, norms and standards such as EN, ISO, DIN etc.
Be able to be a intermediate between IFS-Kalmar and the supplier
Reporting in English of the progress based on the fabrication planning

6.Education

For this function the following minimum education is required:

Technical High School with a minimum of 5 years experience in the work methods in the steel structure industry
Experienced in AutoCAD and related programs
Knowledge of relevant Norms and Standards who are normally used in this type of industry.
