职位描述/要求：

Primary Duties:
The primary job function is to support the IT hardware and software infrastructure utilized by the design engineering organizations at Fairchild Semiconductor.The infrastructure includes:LAN/WAN and various network components,Solaris/Linux/Windows system,workstations,and servers,Windows desktops/laptops,centralized disk storage,and backup/restore systems.Some of the specific software components include: Novell and Lotus Notes.Other responsibilities include assisting engineers to productively utilize systems,trouble shooting and resolving problems,monitoring and analyzing system performance and developing and implementing infrastructure improvements.
Normal work schedule is 1st shift,Monday through Friday.Weekend on-call support may be required.Planned and unplanned work outside regular working hours will sometimes be required
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have at least 3-5 years experience supporting an engineering environment.Desired experience includes installation and configuration of Network,Solaris/Linux systems,Windows systems,and shell scripting.The ideal candidate will have to possess strong analytical and problem solving skills. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting IC design environments,which use Cadence IC design tools.Candidates must be fluent in English,possess excellent communication and customer service skills,and able to work independently
Education:Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering programs or equivalent work experience
Travel:Occasional travel to Fairchild sites may be required,based on project needs
